Course Structure:

Through simulated clinical scenarios, learners will actively participate in hands-on learning stations, practicing essential skills individually, as a team member, and as a team leader.

Intended Audience:

Healthcare professionals working in emergency treatment, intensive care, critical care, and those who may need to respond to cardiovascular emergencies.

Topics Covered:

• Defibrillation
• Single-rescuer techniques
• Airway management
• Rhythm recognition
• IV/IO access
• Medication usage
• Cardioversion
• Effective team dynamics in resuscitation
• Transcutaneous pacing

Course Features:

1. Practice at learning stations to reinforce key skills
2. Simulated clinical scenarios for active, hands-on learning
3. Classroom-based format ideal for group interaction and instructor feedback

Pre-Class Requirements:

1. Review the ACLS Provider Manual (2020).
2. Complete the Precourse Test.
3. Review and understand Cardiac Rhythms, including:
   • Ventricular Fibrillation, Ventricular Tachycardia, PEA, Asystole, Bradycardia, High-degree AV Blocks, Sinus Bradycardia, Sinus Tachycardia, Supraventricular Tachycardia
4. Familiarize yourself with ACLS Algorithms and ACLS Pharmacology.

Certification Requirement:

• Currently BLS card. 
• Physical copy of the Completion Certificate issued after you have completed the online Precourse Assessment, watched videos and COMPLETED SURVEY.

Upon completion, students will receive an AHA ACLS Course Completion eCard, valid for two years. The eCard will be issued to the email you register with. This email should be a personal email and not a school or work email.
